SHOW ME THE WAY TO ASTON VILLA - Fixture List 06/07

There's no place like home they say, and Reading will begin their first ever top flight season with a MadStad fixture against Middlesbrough on August 19th in what looks a cunningly winnable game. It will be a case of Sorcerer vs Apprentice as Steve Coppell will come up against one of his former Crystal Palace charges, managerial novice and penalty shoot-out buffoon Gareth Southgate. The following midweek will see us destination Aston Villa for the first away fixture.

Speaking of midweek fixtures, given the proliferation of southern sides making up the constitution of next season's FA Premier League, the much maligned fixture computer should immediately be unplugged, packed away and replaced with a Spectrum 48k for giving us a Wednesday night visit to Newcastle in early December. Christmas will bring us visits to Chelsea on Boxing Day - the ticket price alone for that particular fixture ensuring that gifts for family and friends will be straight from the Pound Shop - and Old Trafford on the penultimate day of 2006. The campaign ends on Sunday May 13th with us hopefully finding 4,000 defensive holes in Blackburn, Lancashire.

Floyd on Football is unable to bring the fixture list in it's entirety at this time, fearing legal action from the FA Premier League.
